Daring Card Makers Origami

A lovely challenge for me to think about. I have done some origami before but a long time ago. This challenge from Daring Card makers made look at something simple to do.
I chose to make a fish. Turned out a little bigger than I wanted, so made a smaller one and one even smaller.
The back ground has been dry embossed and a little patterned paper at the bottom of the card.

Mojo Monday Sketch

I just don't know where the time has gone. We are heading towards the weekend quickly and I find myself catching up with challenges.
So to start off the next few posts is Mojo Monday

Here is their sketch and the card has to be tall and skinny (unlike me!)

I have taken elements of this sketch and created this card.

I do love this image very much and it doesn't matter what colour I do him/her in.

AAA Cards Chalk Board

Thanks to a lovely comment on my last post I have found a new challenge blog.
AAA Cards Blog set a challenge each week.
This week it's chalk board.
I have made my chalk board with mount board inked up in black and a white stazon ink pad to add the chalk effect.
I have yet to think of how to pop it onto a card but as it is a tag I had to add ribbon. One pale pink, white and black to co ordinate with the chalk board.

This week over at Freshly Made Sketches I have followed their sketch exactly.
Stamp is from Stampin Up! I have kept the colours a kind of vintage.

Happy Birthday

A simple card for a birthday. This fits two challenges. Firstly Cute Card Thursday they are asking for just text.
So no other stamping either by hand or digitally.
Next is Mojo Monday where I have used their sketch as inspiration, as I turned it round and made the round a rectangle. So it is more inspirational than direct use of sketch.

Simply Best Wishes

Today I made a simple 4" square layered card.
A stamp set I had not used before from Stampin Up!
I used two colours on the image, some organza ribbon and foam pads to raise the tag.

This card is for two challenges. The Ribbon Girls where they are asking you to use lilac/purple and Daring Cardmakers as their challenge is 'light as a feather' although no feather on here I do have the birds.

Less is more 171.. one layer 'Thank You'

A single layer card meaning really stamp on the card or emboss straight onto the card... Scary!!
Well over at Less Is More they are asking you to do just that but also making it a Thank You card.
I have embossed squares then stamped the flower.
I have coloured the flower image with copic pens and the sentiment and image are from Stampin Up!

Mojo Monday 344

Sketch this week from Mojo Monday had me thinking.
Apart from my paper piecing I tend to keep my cards simple.
Although the sketch is simple I still had to think of how I was going to produce a card.
It is slightly different from the sketch but still on same lines.

Here is this weeks sketch from them.

Here is my version of their sketch.
Stamps from Stampin Up! and I made design smaller and moved a couple of positions.

Clean and Simple sketch 291

Clean & Simple have a sketch that I had to think about.
It is very simple and took me a while to think what I could do.
I turned it round and made my card horizontal and hope that it still fits in with the sketch.
Also the requirement was patterned paper but I made mine with a candle stamp.

And here is the finished card.

Daring Cardmakers Colour Challenge

If you pop over to Daring Cardmakers you will see that it's their colour challenge.

These are their colours they have chosen for you to play with
I chose just the brown shades.
The card is simple as always and just uses a worded stamp as a background and butterfly dies from Stampin Up!

The Sweetest Thing sketch 217

Another card made. This one for The Sweetest Thing who have a sketch for you to do. I am cutting it fine with this entry as new sketch on Sunday.

Below is my card using the sketch design. I have used a beach stamp set which I think was free in a magazine a while back.
Cut out the waves by hand on dotty paper and coloured images with copic pens.
