So much going on

Well there has been so much going on at the same time.
I have been in hospital and back operation went well but have to take it easy.
But the excitement is the new equipment I have for new business.

My lovely oldest son has spent a few days with me and was able to move all my craft desk and creating bits around for me. And lift and put all equipment in the space we had made. So much new space making me wonder where all my other crafting stash has gone!!

So new business will be starting up asap. Too exciting but need to get head round website, using equipment and more use of computer and I am no tech person, but I will learn.

Treat or treat... Scary or Sweet...

Another month has whizzed by at Crafts Galore Encore Challenge.
This month is Trick or Treat... Scary or Sweet?

We have a great sponsor this month and we got to play with some fabulous images.

I was lucky enough to have a 'Treat' and below is my card with Colour Me Janette

I coloured the image with copic pens and added some orange organza ribbon. Her blue jeans have a gentle sparkle and a gem on her yellow shoes.

Pop over to the challenge blog and see what the fabulous design team have done with their images.

On a personal note as well pop over to Kick Starter and have a look at my new business project... Spread and Pledge with the idea. Thank you.

It's really happening

Ok... after waiting for seems like forever yet, only 3 days, we have been given the ok on Kick Starter.

Pop over and have a look at our whole new project and aims we have.
It's so hard starting up a new business that you know has potential yet finding the funds is hard.

It would be great if my blogging friends could pop over and see what it's all about, and maybe even support us.

Many thanks.

Been off doing something exciting...

Hello... Sorry I have not been around.
I have been diverting from card craft to a new business plan.

This involves my partners illustrations that he created over 4 years ago. We have been playing around with ideas of what to do with them.
They are cute and know will find a place in the market.

We are starting a Kick Starter project to try and raise funds to lift this project off the ground with products, children's books and giftware.

Kick Starter is a community based place where people pledge, in return for a product you will be making. Therefore they will be getting something first before anyone else and before it completely lifts off the ground.

This means having to tweet (not my thing) set up a new Facebook page and really try every avenue to promote it.
As yet we are waiting to be accepted by them... it's like waiting for Christmas!!

But here is my twitter account

new Facebook page for it

I do have a new blog on wordpress but as yet need to get my head around it all.

The new concept is called 'On Stalks' and here is a photo of what our mugs will look like.

We will also be bringing out Christmas ones, if we are lucky enough to reach our target and second stage target.

Halloween

I was looking round for challenges and found this one

They are asking you to create something which has a Halloween feel.

I have used these cute stamps that I have not used in a long time.
Love them to bits.

The costume shop has foam pads on it, just to raise it slightly from the line of merry Trick or Treaters.
The children dressed up look so cute as they are that I just added minimal colours. The ghost ones do have a touch of sparkle on them though.

A circle was punched in top right corner so that the spider, that i stamped inside, could be seen.

Fancy a cuppa..

Well here we are again. Trying to sort out bits and pieces with my craft stash and even selling some of it off as making room in my space to concentrate on my work.
So onto next challenge I have had a go at.

Less Is More is all about beverages this week.
So I have made a 4x4 card with my coffee cup stamp. Paper piecing for the cup and colouring the rest with copic pens. The hearts and steam from the cup have had glossy accents added.

More Cupcake Fun.. with Daring Card Makers

Hello. The time is just flying past and I know I miss some challenges.
So let's get the ball rolling and have a challenge from Daring Card Makers where this week is food glorious food.
I know I made a cupcake card for them last week but this week i tried to challenge myself to do something different.

I stamped and coloured with copic pens, then stamped on pattern paper for the cupcake case. Punched small flowers and a big blob of glossy accents for the cherry.
Cut out popped on 3d foam pads and attached ribbon to the card.

I love this blog challenge you never know what they are going to come up with next.

Here is their sketch..

Simple sketch which I really had to think about. But here is my take on it with my house image that I designed. Single pattern paper layer and the image printed and cut on white card.

Clean and Simple

Well another challenge. I really have been playing catch up.
This time using the caravan stamp, which I do love lots, but in bright colours.

Clean and Simple have a sketch for you to use this week.

This is my take on the sketch. It is quite a bright card, matted on bright pink and yellow I think the image stands out even more.

Chocolate and Mint

New stamp again and yes designed by me. I have chosen this one for the challenge over at Less is More

They are asking you to use a colour combo of Chocolate and Mint.

I used copic pens to colour and blended them for the steam off the hot chocolate in the cup.

Seaside Special

As I went on and on about my stamps in the last post I just had to do another one!
This card has been created for the challenge set by Less is More 'I do like to be beside the seaside'.

Agsin coloured with copic pens and the heart has glossy accents on it. The bottom layer of the matting has been punched using the scalloped punch. It is a little added interest!

New Stamps

I am loving my new stamps that I have designed from my larger cards. The 5" square paper piecing card designs have been made into simple lined stamps.
These were made using a stamp making machine that was given to me for my birthday.

So on to the card. These were made for the challenge by Daring Card Makers
This week they are asking you to be clean & simple and anything goes.

These images have been stamped and coloured with copic pens. The hearts (which appear on all my stamps) have glossy accents on them.
The simple matting has been used. The sentiment I stamped and then punched using a decorative punch, putting it between the two layers of coloured card.

A Snowy Time

Well a month has gone by already over at Crafts Galore Encore Challenge
This month for our next challenge it "Make a Card'
We are being sponsored by Beccy's Place

Some of us were lucky enough to use her digi stamps. I chose the Snowy Pair

Printed a couple of times I was then able to 3d some of the snowmen's features. The scarf and nose and one of the hats. The hat, scarf and noses are shiny due to glossy access and I have added glitter to the bodies.
So here is my card simple but effective.

We look forward to you popping over and playing along with us on this challenge at

Wedding Day

I don't seem to do many cards which show off the sentiment more than the image. I popped onto Clean & Simple blog and saw their sketch.

I still wasn't sure but knew I could combine image and sentiment.
This too is one of my designs that I made up to a stamp.

Coloured with copic pens and the heart covered with glossy accents.

Ok where has that month gone?
We are now in August and next challenge over at Crafts Galore Encore Challenge
This month it's ANYTHING GOES
We have a great sponsor Di's Digis and this months prize is $12 to spent over at the store.

So onto my creation. Wooden hearts grabbed me, jumped into my basket and wanted to come home with me, while shopping.
They then sat there for a while as I thought of how to decorate them.
This is what I came up with...

They are very simple but stand out. All covered with paper, edged with chocolate brown ink, punched flowers and butterflies which have glossy accents on them to make then sturdier, as they are paper.
Natural twine for hanging.

Now hwta are you waiting for pop over to Crafts Encore Galore and have a look at the fabulous design teams creations and join in with us.

Stamps

Hello
It's been a few days since I have blogged.
I bought though that I would just pop a post on here to say that I am so excited about something that I have wanted to do for many years and just not had the right tools or should I say help to do it.
As some of you may well know my partner David designs and illustrates. He has had some lovely images he has drawn up that I fell in love with and printed out as a digi stamp. I do like digi stamps but am more of a hand stamp person so I can layer, mask and just generally place the image and wording where I want it.
Well i can now do that as David's images are being made into stamps by me.. yes I can now make the stamps.

Here is a photo of worded and image stamps that have been made.

Butterfly Love Card

Well hello again. Two post in one day.
The card I am about to show covers 5 challenges. I have been so busy with bits and time has flown by. To cover so many challenges is not really my thing so I am sorry about that.

Papertake Weekly says anything goes (with a christmas optional if you want).

Daring Card Makers are asking you not to use scissors please.

Less is More requires you to use something recycled on your creation.

Clean n Simple have a fab sketch for you to use.

AAA Cards have a multi challenge going on over at their blog.

My card has string used from a shop tag, the heart is cut with a die, corrugated butterflies, the sentiment is stamped onto the acetate (plastic)

Crafts Galore Encore Challenge and Design Team Member

Has it really been over a week since I popped over here? Doesn't time fly especially with this fab weather we are having.
Anyway on to todays news and challenge.

I have been ever so lucky to be asked onto the design team for Crafts Galore Encore Challenge along with 3 other fab ladies.

and

The challenge over there this month is use a Stamp on your project. This can be either Stamped or Digi Image.
There is a fab prize as well, $15 to spend in the shop of

 Fred, She Said Designs

The set of Digi Stamps that I played with on my card is the Marigolds and Morpho Set
Lovely set to play with and this is how I made my card.

The marigolds were coloured with copic pens and cut out with glossy accent in the middle.
The butterflies were also coloured in the pens and I made one smaller to fit in the larger one. Edged both with dazzling diamonds glitter. This set comes with some sentiments as well.

Campervan Mad

Had a little play today with some card and challenges. I love the campervan stamp from A-muse. So made the most of using it 3 times on my card.
Over at AA Cards they are asking you to CAS a card and getting inspired.

Daring Card Makers want you to use Oodles of Doodles. So I edged the card with a doodle and the middle of the card next to the rolla graph image.

Clean and Simple Sketch

Over at Clean and Simple they have a sketch.
I wanted to do try out something different and kind of got carried away.
Not too sure on it but know it looks a bit of fun.

And here is my card. The boat is in a acetate pod which has glitter in it to make it a shaky card.
